On Wednesday 15th March, the Ladies Committee hosted their annual Ladies Luncheon at Knowsley Hall. Joan Reakes, Trading Company Director joined the Ladies Committee a number of years ago.
Joan said, “We organise the annual Ladies Lunch at Knowsley Hall alongside afternoon teas and coffee mornings. Over the years we have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for Willowbrook Hospice all whilst having a fantastic time!
I started fundraising for the hospice over 30 years ago, before it was even built, and during this time I have made some wonderful friends and had a huge amount of fun. I have done everything from shaking a tin outside a supermarket, to working in the shops, to sitting in board meetings.
We are always looking for volunteers, so why not come and join us. There are so many ways to get involved so visit our dedicated volunteers page of the website here to see how you can make a difference.”
