Clinical Director

Full Time, Permanent.

We have a unique and exciting opportunity to recruit a Clinical Director at Willowbrook Hospice. We are looking for an experienced leader to foster our caring, compassionate and inclusive culture and drive innovation in our clinical services operating across the Hospice. This is a demanding role and requires someone with exceptional leadership, resilience and clinical skills.

The Clinical Director will work alongside the Medical Director and Corporate Director as a key member of an Executive Management Team in running Willowbrook Hospice. You will have a responsibility to manage and lead all clinical services and multi-disciplinary teams at a strategic and operational level.  As part of the Senior Executive Management Team, you will work closely with all colleagues in ensuring Willowbrook Hospice Strategy is developed and implemented within the Hospice and across the local health economy.

Successful applicants will need to demonstrate substantial expertise in clinical and operational management as well as strategic development.

Main duties

As Chief Nurse, you will take responsibility for the overall management and leadership of the Clinical Services delivered by Willowbrook Hospice within the inpatient unit, outreach, clinical support services and community based provision. You will also have a role in promoting the aims and objectives of specialist palliative care within the communities of St Helens & Knowsley, representing Willowbrook Hospice.

You will provide visible leadership and promote high standards by modelling the values and behaviours expected of a senior manager in the Hospice. You will have a professional and management line of accountability directly to the Board of Trustees.

Digital Marketing Fundraiser

Full-time, Permanent, Flexible Hours.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a full-time, permanent Digital Marketing Fundraiser at Willowbrook Hospice. This key role will focus on the online marketing and communications for Willowbrook, as well as supporting other members of the fundraising team with planning and delivering a range of events to raise funds for the hospice.

The Digital Marketing Fundraiser will be a flexible team player, with the ability to use their own initiative and be creative in ways to attract new revenue. They must be very proficient in the use and understanding of digital technology, as well as have an in-depth knowledge of all social media platforms. They must have the ability and experience to exploit those platforms in order to best promote the Fundraising function and maximise donor engagement, and therefore donations. A good understanding of the various Giving platforms is also essential.

Alongside Digital Marketing the right candidate will support with the organisation of events at Willowbrook, and attend the events so they can promote them on social media platforms and the website. 

If you feel you have the experience needed to succeed in this role and have a passion for helping people, then this may be the perfect role for you. You will likely be a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic individual, keen to engage across our local community, supporting them to raise money to run Willowbrook’s services.

Holistic Support Assistant

30 hours per week over 5 days (flexible to meet the needs of the service and may require out of hours working).

This post provides an opportunity to really make a difference to those people that need it most. Holistic approaches to care can help people engage more meaningfully in activities and provides a sense of wellbeing; with an aim to make lives a little easier at the most challenging of times. 

The post holder will be required to be adaptive and creative in their approach and care to maximise holistic intervention across outreach and inpatient services; bringing our values to life that ‘every contact counts.’ 

The wellbeing of our patients and their carers, and our own staff and volunteers, is essential so it’s important we find someone experienced, motivated and compassionate, with great interpersonal skills, who can help develop, deliver, and maintain a high quality service alongside our Outreach Services Manager. 

You’ll need an NVQ Level 2 in Health Care or a related area, genuine interest/experience in palliative care with evidence of experience in health care related settings and experience of those with dementia needs. You’ll be committed and willing to further professional skills and development; with a genuine interest in holistic approaches to care.
