I Am A Patient
Specialist Palliative Care
Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for every individual all stages of their illness. Individual needs are continually reassessed to ensure that care is the best it can be.
Palliative care is for patients with an advanced and progressive illness. This involves the management of pain and other symptoms. It also provides valuable psychological, social and spiritual support.
The palliative care approach also includes support for family/carers. The goal of palliative care is to achieve the best quality of life for patients and their families/carers.
Some parts of palliative care may be needed earlier in the course of illness e.g. at the same time as having other treatments. This may involve symptom/pain control etc.

Staying as an inpatient
Our aim at the hospice is to enhance the quality of life for every individual throughout all stages of their illness.
At Willowbrook we provide a Medical Outpatient clinic. Our Medical Team holds clinics on various days during the week.
We aim to help family members cope with the distress that may be experienced during and after a patient’s illness.
