Our Head Chef, Ged Talbot received a lovely message from Eileen at Breast Mates Cancer Support Group following a lunch hosted at our Lavender Café at the hospice.

Breast Mates offers support and information to people with breast cancer in Knowsley and the surrounding districts.

“A massive thank you for arranging such a wonderful lunch for Breast Mates Members on Saturday.

The feedback was all fantastic. A very special thank you to Donna and Mags. They were both so welcoming and treated our members with such lovely care and attention.

Not many of our members had been in to the Hospice entrance before as we hold our monthly meetings in the Cedarwood Centre.

They all mentioned how lovely and welcoming it felt. I am sure this will take away a bit of the fear some feel when talking about their future care. All the members who attended on Saturday have a treatable but not curable diagnosis.

Again many, many thanks for making our day run smoothly for this very special group.”
