A legacy project is some physical thing that you create to communicate your legacy to those who are close to you. This can involve your biography, important life events, the wisdom you’ve gleaned, the love and relationships you’ve enjoyed, your personal accomplishments, your faith, your hopes, and dreams (both realised and not) and much more.
This can a useful aid in celebrating who you are but also leaving a token in assisting grieving relatives and children.
These can include things like…
-
- Memory boxes
-
- Letters and cards (significant milestones etc.)
-
- Handprints
-
- Digital legacy – such as audio, music playlists and videos
-
- Poems/words or wisdom
-
- Albums/reminiscence books
-
- Journals
-
- Stories
-
- Handmade items – such as crafts, memory bears and quilts
If you require any more information on this or support in creating your own celebration of life work, please don’t hesitate to contact the Outreach Team who may be able to support you with this process.
