For hospices across the country, their costs are rising whilst the need for specialist palliative care is growing. Meanwhile the NHS funding for hospices has stalled, failing to keep pace with these inflationary costs.
End-of-life care is an essential service, not a luxury, yet it is not funded like other care services. At Willowbrook, only 29% of the money we need comes from the government. So as a charity, we depend on the generosity of our supporters like you, to help us raise the additional £10,000 a day it costs to keep delivering our crucial services. Thanks to your kindness, Willowbrook is still able to provide this care to all our patients.
However, we are supporting Hospice UK‘s campaign to make sure MPs understand the scale of the financial challenge facing all UK hospices.
