Complementary Therapies
Complementary therapies cover lots of different treatments. These may include body-based therapies or meditation-based therapies such as relaxation and mindfulness practice.
Complementary Therapies can be offered as a 1-1 or within small group sessions such as our Complementary therapy group. Basic therapy support can also be offered at patients’ place of care as part of our holistic support services.
How therapies may help:
- Complements your medical treatment
- Promotes relaxation and help relieve stress, anxiety and tension
- To help alleviate potential symptoms and side-effects of treatments and medication
- To improve your sense of well-being and quality of life
Individual sessions are normally offered as part of your care plan and consist of six regular sessions. Please talk to your health care team or a member of the outreach team if you think you might benefit from the therapies.*
