Friends of Stuart ‘Pod’ Fowles raise money for Willowbrook Hospice

Thank you to Graham Roberts for popping by to The Living Well today, with a fantastic donation of £600 which was raised through friends of Stuart Fowles.

Stuart, known as ‘Pod” to many, sadly lost his life to Covid in October 2020.

His friends gathered on mass at Liverpool St Helens RUFC last Saturday 7th January 2023 to celebrate his life as they were unable to do this previously due to covid restrictions.

The group sponsors a match every year around his birthday, 12th January, to remember him and recount hundreds of humorous tales that Pod was part of.

He was a huge Saints fan and a former junior & colt player at LSH, he was a great friend who continues to leave a hole in the lives for all who knew him.

Donations were received from friends who couldn’t attend as well as those who were able to, and raised £600 in support of Willowbrook Hospice, a charity close to the hearts of the Fowles family.

Thank you so much to everyone who took part, we are really thankful for your kind generosity.
