We’re delighted to announce the appointment of our new Executive Director of Corporate Services, Simon O’Leary.
Simon joined Willowbrook Hospice at the end of October and brings with him over 25 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, having held leadership roles at organisations including Cancer Research UK and the Royal British Legion, where he led the iconic Poppy Appeal. His career has also seen him supporting a range of charities such as WWF, Asthma & Lung UK, and Samaritans through his consultancy work.
Outside of work, Simon enjoys hill walking, rugby union (as a proud Sale Sharks fan), and travelling with his family.
When asked why he chose to join Willowbrook, Simon shared:
“I was very keen to join an organisation that was having a significant impact in its local community, and to also work in a new sector – so joining the team at Willowbrook was a wonderful opportunity to achieve both these goals. I’ve really enjoyed all the conversations and experiences I’ve had so far and look forward to getting to know everyone involved in the hospice’s important work.”
