On New Year’s Day, two truly selfless legends – Lee Guy and Jamie Ryan – set themselves an extraordinary challenge: to run for 26 hours (because it’s 2026!) around the BrewDog Stadium, all in aid of Willowbrook, raising vital funds and awareness.
Having completed this challenge last year, Lee is determined to grow it year on year – adding an extra hour every time.
They endured freezing New Year’s Day temperatures, battling the cold, fatigue and long, dark hours – yet they kept going. Step after step. Hour after hour. All for a cause bigger than themselves.
What made it even more special was the community that surrounded them – those who came just to cheer them on, those who ran or walked alongside them, and those who turned up with a hot drink and words of encouragement when they were needed most.
So far, they’ve raised over £1,000 online, along with generous cash donations on the day – every single pound making a real difference.
They successfully completed all 26 hours, and were truly touched by the support shown throughout the challenge.
Thank you to these absolute legends, and to everyone who has donated and supported them so far.
What an incredible start to the year. This is community. This is kindness. This is Willowbrook. 💙
