Tim runs the Prague Marathon in memory of Sister in Law

Thank You and Well Done to Tim Browning for running the Prague Marathon in memory of his Sister in Law Karolina. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Karolina was a patient at Willowbrook Hospice but sadly died on Mother’s Day 2023, it was in November of that year that Tim decided to take on a marathon in her memory to raise funds following the care that she received after seeing our post on socials.

With Karolina originally being from the Czech Republic, Tim thought it was fitting that a marathon was taking place in Prague. Having never ran 26.2 miles before, this would be a big challenge, but one he was looking forward to!

Tim said, “It was a great sense of achievement, I just can’t describe the feeling, and when I returned home, I joined a running club to keep up the hard work I had put into our training, and would like to run another marathon in the future for Willowbrook. For anyone considering taking on a marathon, I would say to do it! Work towards something big and the reward will come.”

Thank you Tim, we are so grateful and we are sure that Karolina would be very proud of all that you have done to keep her memory alive.

We have a number of marathon places available for 2025, have a look on our website here: https://willowbrook.org.uk/marathon-opportunities-2025/
