Virtual Outreach
Virtual Outreach
Still a popular choice of service by patients; our virtual services can support you with ongoing wellbeing, social isolation and low mood. It can also support you when you don’t feel up to physically attending the hospice in person services.
Some of the following virtual sessions include; chair based exercises, guided relaxation and art and craft cafés, advance care planning or being able to speak to a member or the outreach team for additional 1-1 support.
Attendance
Patients can attend the online activities and groups/days of their choice within the comfort of their own home – This may be as a 1-1 or as a group.
What do you need? Any electronic device! Tablet, laptop or mobile phone as well as this you’ll need to ensure you have internet connection.
Once you’re referred you’ll receive helpful instructions on how to use Zoom.
Patients can attend this platform of support for however long is needed.
Patient feedback
It’s been a way of being in connection with other people and… really, it’s sort of connection is one that makes you realise that you are not on your own. That there are other people going through the same things as you and a lot of us do it with a smile rather than a tear but whatever it is… Willowbrook, especially the outreach has been wonderful in giving me a connection with the outside world… which I wouldn’t have had if it hadn’t have been for Willowbrook hospice.
