Volunteers’ Week 2022

It’s Volunteers’ Week 2022 and we’re celebrating and thanking all our fantastic volunteers for everything they do for Willowbrook Hospice.

We have over 540 registered volunteers supporting almost all the teams across Willowbrook Hospice, including our shops, café, reception and administration, fundraising events, gardening, maintenance, housekeeping and outreach services. In the last year they have contributed an incredible 63,300 hours to the organisation, saving Willowbrook £700,000. The impact of Willowbrook’s volunteers is huge, and the Hospice wouldn’t be able to function in the same way without them.

As we approach our 25th anniversary this summer, Volunteers’ Week 2022 is a perfect time to join one of our welcoming teams and discover the benefits of volunteering. We’re in need of new volunteers to ensure that we are still here for our community of St Helens and Knowsley in another 25 years.

We have volunteer vacancies across almost all of our nine shops with various shifts available, and we’re also in need of Compassionate Neighbours to support our outreach service, among other positions. No experience is necessary and full training will be provided. Even if you only have a few hours to spare, investing those hours in a volunteer position can be a rewarding, valuable and useful experience.

To find out more about joining our award-winning team of volunteers, please see the information below or view our current opportunities online.

We’d love to hear your experiences of volunteering for Willowbrook Hospice over the years – please join in on social media this week with the hashtag #VolunteersWeek and tagging our accounts on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers!
