At Willowbrook Hospice, we are regularly blown away by the tremendous fundraising events and challenges that our supporters take on to raise money to support us.
We met with Caitlin last week, to receive a staggering £8,030 following a charity night in memory of her Dad, Mike! This is an incredible donation, here is Caitlin’s story:
“Sadly, in 2019 our Dad needed care from Willowbrook Hospice, in the short time he spent there they always did everything they possibly could do to make sure he was as comfortable and as happy as he could be, as well as offering support to his loved ones.
This year is our dad’s 60th birthday. We couldn’t go without celebrating, so that’s exactly what we did, and raised money for a charity that holds a special place in our hearts.
We hosted a fundraiser where we had horse racing, a raffle and an auction including prizes such as a signed shirts and balls from Saints and Liverpool FC plyers and so much more.”
We are so thankful for all the effort Caitlin went to with her family and friends to make this wonderful gesture which will enable us to continue to provide care to life limiting patients in St Helens and Knowsley.
