When our patient Sue saw a member of our staff with tattoos, she said “You know what, I wish I had gotten a tattoo now!”
This comment could easily have just been forgotten, but for this particular staff member, she went one step further…
Michelle, her daughter said, “That lovely lady went and ordered tattoo transfers for us! She gave one to mum, myself and my daughter!! Mum was absolutely delighted, she was excited to show it off, as she had always wanted one but never got round to it. We loved it that much, that I had the design permanently on my wrist, which now serves as a nice memory of a sad time.”
Michelle and her family have done some incredible fundraising for Willowbrook, but she still wanted to do more – so when an advert came up for a Trustee position at the hospice, she applied and was successful! Michelle is now on the board of Trustees and sharing her knowledge and experience to the team.
