A huge thank you to Garry Pilkington, who took on a two-day walking challenge across Dartmoor in memory of his great friend, Mike. His dedication and determination have helped raise a phenomenal £1,791.25 for Willowbrook Hospice, every single penny making a difference to local families who need us.
Mike’s spirit and kindness continue to shine through. In his final days, Mike was lovingly cared for at Willowbrook and Garry’s walk was a heartfelt tribute to that care.
Last week, we were honoured to welcome Mike’s family to the hospice to present a big cheque on his behalf. His wife Marina and their three children joined us to celebrate this special gift, a powerful reminder that behind every donation, there’s a story of love.
We’re also grateful to Marina for sharing a beautiful photo of Mike.
