Last week, Willowbrook was proudly represented at an event at St Helens Minster by our Chatty Café Coordinator, Diane, who was invited to showcase our wonderful Chatty Cafés alongside other organisations supporting people experiencing loneliness and social isolation.
Diane was joined by volunteer Helen, Social Prescriber Andrea, and two of our lovely Chatty Café attendees, Bernie and Lynn. Together, they hosted pop-up cafés, met lots of wonderful people, and shared information about the support, friendship, and sense of belonging our Chatty Cafés provide.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community, raise awareness of the importance of tackling loneliness, and highlight the welcoming spaces available across our local area. The event was a wonderful reminder that Every Contact Counts – and that a simple conversation can make a real difference to someone’s day.
If you’d like to get involved, make new connections, or simply enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa, we’d love to welcome you to one of our Chatty Cafés.
