We were so pleased to catch up with Deryck recently, who took on the St Helens 10K in memory of his mum, Janet, and presented an incredible £910 to support the work of Willowbrook Hospice.
Janet, known as ‘Little Jan’, was a Healthcare Assistant at Willowbrook, dedicating her time, compassion and care to supporting patients and families when they needed it most. Her kindness and commitment made a real difference to so many people during her time at the hospice.
Deryck chose to run in her memory as a way of honouring her life and the amazing work she did for others. Fundraising tributes like this are incredibly special to us, and it means so much to see Janet’s legacy continue through the generosity of her family and friends.
The fantastic £910 raised will help Willowbrook continue providing compassionate care and support for patients and their loved ones across our community.
Thank you, Deryck, for taking on the challenge, for remembering your mum in such a meaningful way, and for supporting the hospice that meant so much to her. ![]()
