Festive party for Inpatient Unit

Last week at Willowbrook Hospice, we created a gentle, festive space for patients and families during what can be an incredibly difficult time. For the first time, we welcomed families to a Christmas party in our hospice café – with food, a quiz, and festive activities like making reindeer food and meaningful ‘legacy’ decorations. For those too unwell to join us, the party was lovingly taken to them in their rooms

One very special moment belonged to this little boy, whose parent is currently an inpatient. Thanks to the generosity of Haydock Commercials, he received a wonderful toy truck, delivered with extra Christmas magic by our very own elf, Margaret

His smile – and an impromptu rendition of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” from another patient’s son – filled the hospice with joy.
