St Helens 10k Runners

Thank you to everyone taking part in the St Helens 10K in aid of Willowbrook Hospice!

We are grateful to you all for your incredible support in raising vital funds and awareness so that we can continue the amazing work our team do for patients and families across our community.

A special mention to Phillip, who will be taking part in the GPW Recruitment 10K run in honour of his mum, Jane. Our staff took such wonderful care of his mum in her time of need and provided so much comfort and support to him and his family. He’s hoping to raise as many donations as possible to help ensure other families can receive that same care and compassion.

We’d also like to say good luck to Emma, who shares:

“Willowbrook Hospice holds a very special place in my heart. I will be running the St Helens 10k raising money in memory of Rita Bailey, who was cared for in this amazing place. Thank you, Emma, for running in memory of Rita and for supporting such an important cause.

Michelle is also running for Willowbrook – in honour of her sister-in-law Tracey, who sadly lost her courageous battle with cancer, aged 59, in August 2025. Michelle said, “Before she passed, she told me about the wonderful end-of-life care she had received at the hospice, the staff were amazing to her at her most vulnerable time.”
