A huge thank you to David for choosing Willowbrook Hospice as the charity for his incredible 2026 fundraising challenge 
David will be taking on not one, but TWO extraordinary running events this year – the London Marathon, followed by The Lap, a 75km ultra-trail around Lake Windermere in September. An amazing commitment, and we’re so grateful he’s dedicating it to supporting Willowbrook.
As a local charity, it means so much that Willowbrook was David’s first choice. He is aware of the vital work we do across St Helens and Knowsley, providing compassionate care and support to patients and families facing life-limiting illness – and the ongoing challenges we face in funding these services.
It costs around £5.9 million each year to keep our hospice running, with most of this raised through donations and fundraising. Support like David’s truly makes a difference and helps ensure we can continue to be there for those who need us most.
