What a joy it was to meet Wendy and Ken Battersby, who recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary with a beautiful garden party!
In a truly selfless gesture, they asked their guests to donate to Willowbrook Hospice instead of bringing gifts – and thanks to their generosity, we received a fantastic £450!
Willowbrook had the honour of caring for Wendy’s sister, Patsy, in 2017. We supported her for four weeks, helping to stabilise her and make her comfortable so she could return to her care home and enjoy two more precious years. This is exactly why we do what we do – not just providing end-of-life care, but offering vital support that helps patients live longer, fuller lives. 
We’re deeply grateful to Wendy, Ken, and everyone who donated. Your kindness makes all the difference and fills our hearts with hope.
