Helen volunteers three days a week with our friendly Online Sales Team at our Prescot shop, helping to raise vital funds through eBay sales. With a real talent for spotting hidden treasures and rare finds, she has become a true eBay whizz!
“I started volunteering on the shop floor but soon moved into the eBay Seller role because I love finding unusual and valuable donations,” says Helen. “It’s such a great feeling knowing I’m supporting a local charity and helping to keep Willowbrook’s doors open. So many hospices are struggling at the moment, which puts even more pressure on the NHS. I feel incredibly proud that the Prescot eBay team raised £21,000 last year to support Willowbrook’s vital services.”
Helen recently uncovered a rare Tongan coin hidden amongst a bag of donated mixed coins from our St Mary’s shop – and it went on to raise an incredible £560 for Willowbrook! 
When asked if she would recommend volunteering with the Online Sales Team, Helen said:
“Please come and join us! You don’t need to be an expert with computers. There are so many different ways to help, from sorting and categorising donations to packing sold items ready for posting. You might even enjoy researching prices and taking photographs like Nathan is doing today!”
