Willowbrook nominated for BBC Merseyside Radio Make a Difference Award

Willowbrook Hospice is delighted to announce that Sheila and The Non-Stoppers have been nominated by The Volunteer Hub for BBC Merseyside Radio Make a Difference Award 2026 in recognition of their incredible work supporting Willowbrook Hospice. 💙💚

For more than 25 years, this outstanding group has shown unwavering dedication to our hospice community, raising nearly £150,000 through the sale of their beautiful handcrafted creations.

From seasonal knitted gifts and baby cardigans to fiddle blankets, syringe driver bags, pillowcases, bed covers, and their especially meaningful knitted hearts for patients and families, every item is made with care, compassion, and purpose. Their thoughtful support brings comfort, dignity, and kindness to patients and loved ones during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Their impact across the hospice has been truly extraordinary, supporting patients, families, and staff every single day.
